Company History

Salugen Biosciences was founded to utilize genetic testing to advance medical treatment. Today, the company is focused on prescription pain medication abuse that kills 3 times as many people as all illegal drugs combined. Whether it’s a patient in pain seeking injury relief, a doctor trying to help a patient, or an insurance adjuster trying to provide the most cost-effective treatment plan for an employee of an employer who is paying the bill, everyone loses – when a treatment ends up doing more harm than good. Narcotic abuse – in the form of tolerance or dependence – is an extremely costly treatment failure. Salugen researchers have developed proprietary laboratory testing to help improve treatment outcomes and avoid failures.

The Company’s Medical Division is based in the biotechnology hub of San Diego where the Company was founded. The Salugen Medical Group is based in southern California, with Affiliated Salugen Clinics across multiple states. Salugen is proud to have been a graduate of the San Diego CONNECT Springboard Program, a member of the Morrison & Foerster Venture Network, and a presenter at the first Nutrition Capital Network. Salugen’s partner, Clinical Reference Laboratory, is based in Lenexa, Kansas.
